Ron Paul to skip Mike Huckabee forum, focuses on Washington caucuses

• The State Column

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul will reportedly be skipping the upcoming Fox News presidential forum hosted by former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee in Ohio this weekend.

Mr. Paul’s decision to skip the forum was reported by Politico Tuesday, who confirmed the report with Paul campaign press secretary Gary Howard.

“He has other campaign commitments,” said Mr. Howard. The Texas congressman will reportedly be in the state of Washington Saturday for the Washington Republican caucuses, while his opponents attend the Huckabee moderated forum Saturday night in Ohio.

Mr. Paul finished third in Michigan and fourth in Arizona on Tuesday. He attended a campaign rally in Virginia Tuesday, and told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Tuesday night that despite not having a primary victory thus far, he is content with his caucus focused campaign strategy.
