Re “After Victory in Egypt, Islamists Seek to Challenge Military” (news article, June 19):
The power grab of Egypt’s military is repulsive. The United States must state unequivocally that military aid to Egypt will stop. Continuing aid to dictators would make a mockery of our traditional values.
Since our military aid is largely used to buy American-made defense products, we can expect the military-industrial complex to resist cutting the $1.3 billion annual gift to Egypt’s generals.
