Black Pastors Organize Anti “Judas” Campaign

•, Bryan Nash
A group of black pastors is rallying together in an attempt to decrease the support of President Barack Obama in black communities. Their efforts are largely a response to Obama’s same-sex marriage stance.
The Coalition of African-American Pastors, headed up by the Rev. William Owens, is hoping to “save the family” and “save our country.” Owens called the direction in which Obama is leading the country “a disgraceful road,” and referred to the President as Judas.
The group claims to have 3,742 black pastors in its camp. Owens promises that the group will be as big as the President’s celebrity status.
“We are going to go nationwide with our agenda just like the president has gone to Hollywood,” he said.

Owens also doubts Obama’s commitment to helping the black community, noting that the President is “half-black, half-white.”

Owens, who actively participated in the civil rights movement, says that the comparison between the civil rights movement and same-sex marriage is nonsensical.
