'Shadow Banking' Still Thrives, System Hits $67 Trillion

The system of so-called "shadow banking," blamed by some for aggravating the global financial crisis, grew to a new high of $67 trillion globally last year, a top regulatory group said, calling for tighter control of the sector.

Shadow banking is claimed for the worsening world economic situation. Yet, it is the people behind the standard banking system that are using shadow banking the most. In fact, some of them helped advance the banking system with full knowledge that they were going to use shadow banking later to rape and plunder all the people using the trusted standard banking system.
