The 28-year-old confirmed that he had killed deadly fanatics from the controls of his Apache helicopter. He said: “If there’s people trying to do bad stuff, then we’ll take them out of the game.”

 

As pictures showed him sprinting to his ’copter on a mission — and in a Santa hat over Christmas — Harry also admitted he let people down by being snapped naked in a Vegas hotel room.

 

The royal hero told of his vital helicopter missions attacking Taliban fighters — saying: “We have to take a life to save a life.”

During his 20-week tour of Afghan duty Harry has been co-pilot gunner in an Apache attack helicopter, targeting enemy insurgents and protecting medical choppers sent in to pick up wounded comrades.

He said: “The sole reason for us being out here is for the protection of the guys.

“If there's people trying to do bad stuff to our guys then we’ll take them out of the game, I suppose. That’s what we revolve around.”
