Unrelated but related:

1- According to The Spear of Destiny, by Trevor Ravenscroft - Hitler, after reading Eschenbach's Parzival, (c. 1200) about the Holy Grail, believed that the Grail....enlightenment, could be found by the left handed path of drugs and so called black magic, .....rather than by meditation.

2- In Unveiled Mysteries, c.1930, by St. Germain, P. 11, the master instructs meditation to begin by  "picture and feel your body enveloped in a Dazzling White Light."

3- One reason 'sungazing' may be so effective is the directing of sun rays, at dawn or sunset, right into the pineal gland.
