Ecuador will seek judicial help to ensure the safe passage from Britain of WiliLeaks founder Julian Assange. The activist is currently holed up in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London fighting extradition to Sweden over sex assault charges.

He faces arrest by UK authorities if he steps outside and so far no diplomatic solution has been found after Ecquador offered him asylum. Foreign minister Richard Patino didn’t elaborate about what type of legal action the country would take, in an interview broadcast on Saturday.
