19 Firefighters Are Dead After Battling Massive Arizona Wildfire

• Business Insider

There were conflicting reports on how many were killed, but the Prescott Fire Department and an Arizona Forestry spokesman have confirmed the death toll of 19.

It's the third-deadliest single-wildfire incident ever recorded in the U.S., according to the National Interagency Fire Center, and the deadliest for the state.

The group became separated while fighting the nearly 2,000-acre Yarnell fire located 85 miles northwest of Phoenix.
