Florida Nurse Terrorized by US Marshals in Warrantless Raid

It was a typical evening after work when Sarasota, Fl., resident Louise Goldsberry finished dinner and began to clean up. The nurse, employed by the Sarasota Doctors Hospital, proceeded towards the kitchen sink to clean the dishes when she gazed out her window. Her gaze met the eyes of a man wearing a hunting vest who was aiming a gun directly at her face. Goldsberry, understandably frightened, dropped to the floor and began screaming. Although in a panic, she managed to crawl her way into the bedroom to retrieve her weapon, a .38-caliber revolver she had purchased to provide comfort while living alone.

The cop made it clear he did her a favor by not killing her. He thinks he should not be disobeyed, for any reason, even if he did not identify himself. His mindset is clear: he is all powerful, and you damn well better recognize it, or he will make you suffer. He cannot admit he could be wrong. Look at the progression of his power. 1. He needed to prove to a judge he had "probable cause"to get a warrant before he could invade privacy. 2. His mere request, with no proof, was all he needed for a warrant. 3. He could skip the formality of the warrant. He could search anywhere, anytime, with unlimited power. (He could kill anyone who challenged him.) This power trip, this police state, will expand until it is stopped by "we the people". All we have to do is say NO! to authority, e.g., no to taxation, no to regulation, no to bad laws.
