In response to one of the most recent pieces by the Wall Street Journal, which claims that up to 75 percent of all domestic internet communications are stored, the White House released a statement from President Obama declaring his belief that “there is no spying on Americans”. The White House said monitoring programs are always conducted by “national security professionals.” The White House denials come in the wake of two months of releases by state secrets from Snowden which have embarrassed the Obama administration and lost President Obama some supporters.
