Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid Sees Big Price Drop

• earthtechling.com
One of these seems to be the Prius Plug-In, which the Japanese automaker recently announced will see a significant price drop in an attempt to lure more buyers into driving off dealer lots with one.

Toyota said the 2014 Prius plug-in hybrid will have its suggested retail price lowered by $2,000, making it start at $29,990. The more advanced model, meanwhile, is seeing a $4,620 reduction in its price tag, dropping it to $34,905. This prices come down even more when one factors in a federal tax credit of up to $2,500 and, if in California, a $1,500 rebate as well as access to that state’s HOV lane.
