Economist and Nobel Prize winner Paul Krugman says that "in principle, you can have assets, which are considered valuable, even though there is nothing backing them," but he is skeptical about what drives the recent surge of the bitcoin.

The public bubble, that you don't need all kinds of brokers and Government regulations to get into.

Yet, the bubble part of Bitcoin is the thing that is stimulating it into real life usage... the new way to keep bread and butter on the table, etc.
