A single army to rule all Europe? What on earth would they call it?

•, Vin Suprynowicz

"Patriotism is the exact opposite of nationalism. Nationalism is the betrayal of patriotism," Macron pronounced, as Trump and other world leaders looked on.

(Only if "the nation" and "the fatherland" — from the Latin "patria" — are "exact opposites," Emmanuel. But maybe French dictionaries have changed since last I studied them.)

He added, "In saying 'Our interests first, whatever happens to the others,' you erase the most precious thing a nation can have, that which makes it live, that which causes it to be great and that which is most important: Its moral values."

(Ah. Spoken as a true globalist, Emmanuel. So we're morally obliged to go bail out the Froggies every time they get their sensitive little butts whupped by the Krauts and promptly surrender — at a cost of tens or even hundreds of thousands of American (and British, and Canadian) lives?
