The Curry Pizza Company is offering the "Talk to Each Other Discount" to every group of four people or more.
The Fresno pizzeria says that they are abstaining from giving the discount to smaller groups because visitors tend to look at their phones less when they are with fewer people.
Each member of a group must relinquish their cell phone and allow it to be stashed in a storage area for the duration of their visit in order to receive the discount. After they are finished with their meal, patrons can either receive a free large pizza to take home with them or they can claim their pie during their next visit.
Since the pizzeria also gives away free meals to the homeless every week, visitors can opt to donate their free pie to the hungry.
"Our goal is to get families/friends to stop using their phones while eating and talk to each other and communicate more," the restaurant wrote in a Facebook post. "If you like, you may receive a free large (per group) on your next visit (must be at least 24 hours) or you can donate your free large pizza to the needy."
