Nestled in a village in Quebec, the couple and their young daughter grow their own fruits and vegetables, bake their own bread and raise chickens for eggs 

The couple completely transformed the home, which was built 30 years ago 

It is an Earthship home, a type of shelter made of natural and upcycled materials

This incredible home, known as an Earthship, allows a Canadian family-of-three to live their off-the-grid dream by growing their own food, collecting rainwater and using solar energy. 

The environmentally friendly house also means owners Marie and Francis can live completely mortgage free, using solar energy to get heat and electricity.   

Nestled in village in Quebec the couple and their young daughter are said to grow their own fruits and vegetables, bake their own bread and raise chickens for eggs. 

They completely transformed the home, which is around 100 square meters and was built 30 years ago from rock found around the area.
