Just heard from frequent FP contributor and Maine resident Jean Carbonneau that Maine's caucuses are on going Sunday in the rural areas, so it is possible that Paul could still jump McCain.

Since Romney won 1 out of every 2 votes so far, and McCain and Paul are neck and neck with Huckabee a very distant fourth, Romney voters who know these results and still have a vote may think throwing their votes to Paul to deny McCain a greater share of Maine's delegates a strategic move.

Jean also ponders if the more rural areas where the caucuses are still open might favor Paul.
