The Pro Football Hall of Famer said as much Sunday during an interview on "The Andy Klavan Show," whose namesake host is a conservative commentator and author. Favre said the mixing of sports and politics has hurt the former inasmuch fans don't want it bogged down with outside political or social commentary.
"I know when I turn on a game, I want to watch a game," Favre said. "I want to watch players play and teams win, lose, come from behind. I want to watch all the important parts of the game, not what's going on outside of the game, and I think the general fan feels the same way.
