The United States Department of Homeland Security announced it is establishing a domestic terrorism unit at its intelligence arm.
The new branch is designed to assure the department gets the intelligence necessary to "combat threats posed by domestic terrorism and targeted violence," the agency said.
The news comes after President Joe Biden in January directed law enforcement and intelligence officials to assess the threat of violent domestic extremism after rioters stormed the Capitol building on January 6.
It is clear they will use any pretext to expand the crackdown of those who do not support the current expansion of government. The definition of "domestic terroist" is extremely broad and may in the future include you. It really may be only a matter of time.
