Perhaps from having observed the tolerance authorities granted protesters throughout 2020 (e.g., police cars and precincts being set afire by protestors deemed, "mostly peaceful"), she may have expected a bit of leeway. She did not get it. When Ashli (unarmed) tried to climb over someone to push her way through a door, she was shot point-blank in the throat by a member of the US Capitol Police. That said cop is Black and Ashli was White does, by the standards and logic of 2020, prove that the killing was racist (though I don't buy those standards or that logic).
"These previously secret records show there was no good reason to shoot and kill Ashli Babbitt," stated Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, which obtained the documents through a May 2021 FOIA lawsuit. "The Biden-Garland Justice Department and the Pelosi Congress have much to answer for the over the mishandling and cover-up of this scandalous killing of an American citizen by the U.S. Capitol Police."
