Reflections on Attending the 2008 Libertarian Party Convention in Denver - Walter Block

• Walter Block via
Just this past weekend (5/22–25/08) I attended the Libertarian Party Convention in Denver. In what follows are some reflections on this experience, and ruminations on the future of the party in particular, and on the libertarian movement in general.

I thought Dr. Block was entirely too generous in comments about the LNC. I found it interesting that both his talk and Anthony Gregory's talk were basically screwed up so few could actually listen to what they had to say do to [deliberate I guarantee] scheduling by the LNC. These were the only bones thrown to the "radical," "purist," "anarchist" libertarians at the convention, and represented a rare opportunity to present that side to a greater audience. The presidential nomination was scheduled to interfere.
