Subject: Constitution

In Article I Section 9 of the Constitution it states:No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States and no Person holding any Ofice ofTrust or Profit under them, shall, without the consent of Congress, accept any present, Emolument,Office or Title of ant kind whatsoever from any King, Prince or Foregin State.

Even if Esquire was a Title of Nobility, Congress could exempt themselves the provisions of the amendment simply by giving themselves permission. They also have the Constitutional authority to allow themselves permission to accept presents and Emoluments which are just another names for bribes.

If the intention of the amendment was to ban lawyers from serving in offices of Profit or public trust: how did  John Adams,Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, who were all lawyers get elected to an office of Profit and Trust? In fact the only Presidents from John Adams to Abraham Lincoln were all lawyers by profession except William Henry Harrison and Zachary Taylor. Ironically both of them died in office after serving very short terms.
