Considering the first parts of Genesis chapter 1 (NIV):

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

[Verse 1 shows us that there was ONE EARTH even though there were at least 2 heavens.]

3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

[Since the materials that the earth is made out of are formed of electromagnetic vibrations, the "light" being spoke of in verse 3 is the kind of electromagnetic frequencies that can penetrate the "heavens" - outer space. This includes the coalescing of the space time continuum. Prior to this coalescing, space time didn't make any sense... according to present-day physics sense, that is (Even the word "prior" doesn't entirely make sense in the absence of the coalescing.). So, things such as days and months and years and centuries could exist. This is why scientists have so much trouble agreeing on the dates of "prehistoric" history. Prior to about 6,000 years ago, the electromagnetic spectrum of the space time continuum had not yet settled. So, the first day DID, finally, exist.]

6 And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

[Remember from verse 2 that the earth was formless and empty? The waters and the land were at least partially mixed, somewhat like mud, probably thicker in some areas, and thinner in other areas. In verse 6 a separation - called a "vault" by the translators - was made between the "mud." God called the vault, the sky. So some of the mud was placed above the sky... into outer space. In fact, the stars and other heavenly objects were, later, made from that outer space mud. The second day.]

9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

[Now you can see where the material for the stars came from. Verse 6: “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water." Verse 15: "... and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.”]

Sure, bits of the material constantly come back to the earth from outer space in the form of meteors. But originally, it all came from HERE.
