Peter Schiff on China Dumping the Dollar
link text
This is something you should watch from Peter Schiff who is running against Dirty Dodd. Do you recall the report on the Chinese Government encouraging their citizens to buy Gold and Silver? "They want their citizens to buy gold and silver, they want their citizens to own REAL money. They know gold and silver are going higher, they know it's a sure-thing because they are planning on dumping the dollar. The U.S. Government is telling its citizens to put faith and trust in little bits of paper that we're printing". And then read these-

Indoctrination Of ‘Obama Youth’ In Schools Accelerates
09-04-2009
•
PrisonPlanet.com
Despite efforts to portray next week’s event as merely the President
giving a speech to students, the full scope of what some education
experts are decrying as part of an indoctrination program represents an
advancement of the creepy, Orwellian, cult of personality-style worship
of Obama and servitude to government being pushed in schools throughout
America.

The Agitator
In May of this year, Weiner was arrested by five FBI agents. The charge? Violating the federal Mann Act"a
century-old law banning the transport of women across state lines for
“immoral purposes.” Specifically, federal agents had posed as
prostitutes on a chat room for a Memphis-based website called sugardaddyforme.com, a site aimed at pairing older wealthy men with young women.

McClatchy News
When it came time for a CIA employee to testify during the
court-martial of Army Chief Warrant Officer Lewis Welshofer, however,
officials went to great lengths to protect the employee's identity,
erecting a high, Army-green tarpaulin to shield him from spectators.
Even the unidentified man's employment by the CIA was off-limits, until
Welshofer's civilian attorney mentioned it in a slip of the tongue.

Iran Says US Nuke Documents 'Forged'
09-04-2009
•
AP
Iran accused the U.S. on Friday of using "forged documents" and relying
on subterfuge to make its case that Tehran is trying to build a nuclear
weapon, according to a confidential letter obtained by The Associated
Press.
The eight-page letter " written by Iran's chief envoy to the U.N.
nuclear agency in Vienna " denounces Washington's allegations against
the Islamic Republic as "fabricated, baseless and false." The letter
does not specify what documents Iran is alleging were forged.

Should Congress Run Monetary Policy?
09-04-2009
•
Economic Policy Journal
Comment I agree with this authors conclusion. NO! END THE FED..
Lew Rockwell answers the question in a very provocative comment. I repeat it here in its entirety:
But the fact that this discussion is even occurring between two not very good options, means that we need to find a way to, if not abolish the Fed, then at least return to some sort of gold standard. In the realm of realeconomik, agitating for a return to the gold standard, is a much better alternative than counting on a non-inflationary Congress. "Be Bold and Let's Return to Gold" should be the rallying cry, not "Give the Press to Congress."

Missouri, Iowa and Illinois bank failures bring '09 tally to 87
09-04-2009
•
Market Watch
Banks in Missouri, Iowa and Illinois were closed by regulators Friday, bringing the number of U.S. bank failures in 2009 to 87 as the effects of the credit crisis continue to ripple through the financial system.
Kansas City, Mo.-based First Bank of Kansas City was the 85th failure of the year, The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. said. De Soto, Kan.-based Great American Bank has agreed to assume the failed bank's deposits.
First Bank of Kansas City had $16 million in assets and $15 million in deposits as of June 30, the regulator said.
Its failure is expected to cost the federal deposit-insurance fund $6 million.

Cass Sunstein, President Barack Obama’s nominee to head the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA), has advocated a policy under which the government would “presume” someone has consented to having his or her organs removed for transplantation into someone else when they die unless that person has explicitly indicated that his or her organs should not be taken.

States Shut Down to Save Money

Wall St Journal
California drivers can't line up to renew their licenses Friday.
Wisconsin natives can't order copies of their birth certificates. Across the country, cash-strapped state governments are shutting down business for a day at a time to save money.
(maybe if we didn't have all of these laws, we wouldn't need all of these government "services?")

Bank analysts see 'implosion' ahead
09-04-2009
•
MSN Money
Hold tight folks, it’s not over yet. Bank failures heated up this summer, but expect an “implosion” next year.
That’s the key takeaway from a deep dive into second-quarter bank results by sector experts at Institutional Risk Analytics, now that all the numbers are all in.
Despite the huge amounts of government money poured into the banks and a sense that conditions are better -- witness the big gains in bank stocks -- the number of banks getting the worst grades for strength actually shot up 12% in the second quarter.
In a study released Sept. 1, IRA concludes that 2,256 banks deserve a failing grade, up from 2,012 in the first quarter. Banks getting an “F” grade included giant Citigroup (C).
4 'zombie' stocks better off dead
“Despite all of the talk and expenditure in Washington, the U.S. banking industry is still sinking steadily,” says Christopher Whalen of IRA.
Besides mounting problems with loans, a big part of the problem is that federal efforts target th

Resurfacing, a Critic Stirs Up Health Care Debate
09-04-2009

She incorrectly stated in July that a Democratic bill in the House would “absolutely require” counseling sessions for Medicare recipients “that will tell them how to end their life sooner,” drawing a “Pants on Fire” rating from the Politifact fact-checking Web site; her false assertion that the presidential health adviser Dr. Ezekiel J. Emanuel believes “medical care should be reserved for the nondisabled” helped inspire former Gov. Sarah Palin’s discredited warning about “death panels” deciding who is “worthy of health care.”
