Forging a New Agenda with China

FROM NEW WORLD ORDER PROMOTER HORRIBLE HENRY!!!!
Chinese officials feel freer than they did previously to offer public and private advice to the United States. China has begun to trade with India, Russia and Brazil in their own currencies. The proposal of the governor of China's central bank to gradually create an alternate reserve currency is another case in point. Many American economists make light of this idea. But it surfaces in so many forums, and China has such a consistent record of pursuing its projects with great patience, that it should be taken seriously. To avoid a gradual drift into adversarial policies, Chinese influence in global economic decision-making needs to be enhanced.
According to conventional wisdom, the world economy will regain its vitality once China consumes more and America consumes less. But as both countries apply that prescription, it will inevitably alter the political framework. As Chinese exports to America decline and China shifts the emph

Sales-tax revenue lags throughout the Valley in June
08-19-2009
•
AZ Central
Recession-wracked Valley cities - and the state itself - are getting
another dose of bad economic news with sales-tax reports that suggest
shoppers have all but padlocked their wallets.
The latest sales-tax reports showed June collections down anywhere
from 9 percent to 22 percent from a year earlier. The same thing
happened to the state. Its disastrous budget gap worsened in June
thanks to sales-tax collections that fell $58 million short of the
forecast.

Curfews might not be just for kids anymore
in one city in northern New Jersey.
Officials in Paterson are considering one for people of all

Several experts say they believe it would be the
nation's first curfew of its type to include adults.
The state ACLU says it would open Paterson to legal action.

More Bunk On Concealed Carry From the Violence Policy Center
08-19-2009
•
Pajamas Media
Before he was president " even before he was a senator " Barack Obama was active on the board of directors for several organizations. Most people know of the time Obama spent with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers on the board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, but fewer people seem to know that Obama was also a director of the left-wing Joyce Foundation.
The Joyce Foundation has always directed considerable monies towards funding gun control groups under the guise of scholarly research and anti-violence efforts. Thanks to the efforts of David T. Hardy, we know that Obama was part of a significant Joyce Foundation effort to subvert Second Amendment scholarship. Though Joyce’s efforts failed to sway the Supreme Court significantly, as evidenced by the Heller decision, Joyce has not given up on efforts to undermine Second Amendment rights and funds several anti-gun organizations.
Among these is the so-called Violence Policy Center (VPC).
The VPC long ago established a reputation fo

ACORN Funder JPMorgan Chase Doesn’t Look Good in New Madoff Book
08-19-2009
•
National Legal and Policy Center
A new book by Barron’s reporter Erin Arvedlund asserts that banking giant JPMorgan Chase became aware of Madoff’s Ponzi scheme months before his arrest, prompting the bank to liquidate its positions in a Madoff-related fund. Yet, the bank continued to accept deposits into Madoff’s main account at the bank from unsuspecting investors who were about to lose everything.
NLPC is a critic of JPMorgan Chase’s support for political and social causes that are contrary to the bank’s interests and hostile to the capitalist system itself, such as ACORN. Although these new revelations are a separate controversy, both reflect an apparent willingness by the firm to work with shady enterprises if it is perceived to be in its own interest.
During the campaign, Dimon was a vocal supporter of Barack Obama. On July 18, the New York Times called Dimon “Obama’s favorite banker.” Dimon may hope that this relationship will insulate his firm from prosecution in the Madoff case. In any event, JPMorgan

Another Democratic president and another Democratic Congress don’t care that Americans oppose a government health care system
A liberal Democratic president has his heart set on pushing through a proposal strongly unpopular with most Americans. Enjoying substantial Democratic majorities in both the House and the Senate, he intends to win.
So it was in September, 1977 when Jimmy Carter signed the Panama Canal treaties to relinquish United States control. An Associated Press opinion poll conducted that month found that only 29 percent of Americans favored the pact. A solid 50 percent opposed it and 21 percent expressed no opinion......

The Death Book for Veterans
Ex-soldiers don't need to be told they're a burden to society.
08-19-2009
•
WSJ
If President Obama wants to better understand why America's discomfort with end-of-life discussions threatens to derail his health-care reform, he might begin with his own Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). He will quickly discover how government bureaucrats are greasing the slippery slope that can start with cost containment but quickly become a systematic denial of care.
Last year, bureaucrats at the VA's National Center for Ethics in Health Care advocated a 52-page end-of-life planning document, "Your Life, Your Choices." It was first published in 1997 and later promoted as the VA's preferred living will throughout its vast network of hospitals and nursing homes. After the Bush White House took a look at how this document was treating complex health and moral issues, the VA suspended its use. Unfortunately, under President Obama, the VA has now resuscitated "Your Life, Your Choices."

Less Government May be Just What the Doctor Ordered
08-19-2009

Radical Thought
The loud and heated health care debate seems to largely have two
camps " those arguing in favor of socialized care, managed by the
government; the other stubbornly, even emotionally resisting it, but
having little else to add.
Of those resisting it, it doesn’t seem that many are making
productive suggestions that give American families much to noodle on if
they rejected the socialized plan.
That’s why I was so pleased to see Whole Food’s CEO, John Mackey’s Op Ed piece, “The Whole Foods Alternative to ObamaCare”, in the August 11th edition of the Wall Street Journal.

ObamaCare and the Veterans Administration: A Case in Point

As I begin this commentary, the Usurper has just flown out of Phoenix, after having given a teleprompter-guided breakfast message to the National Convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), wherein PROMISING, that Veterans would not lose their health care. He exclaimed that he was “honored and humbled” to speak before the Vets.
Kinda late, Slick " isn’t it?
I mean, our Veterans do have some kind of health care " Government run health care " BUT " I have seen far too many wait in the hallways for hours, just waiting for basic services " let alone major-care, due to one affliction, or another " some, which were caused by the benevolence of the U.S. Military-Industrial Complex. GREED, my friends! GREED!
With all of the discussion (although rarely at Town Hall meetings) regarding the so-called ‘ObamaCare’ HellCare package currently being sold " er " uh " crammed down our " er, up the azzes of unsuspecting Americas, it came to me that, throughout the past 100 years or so, we

The Whole Foods Alternative to ObamaCare

"The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out
of other people's money." Margaret Thatcher
With a projected $1.8 trillion deficit for 2009, several trillions
more in deficits projected over the next decade, and with both Medicare
and Social Security entitlement spending about to ratchet up several
notches over the next 15 years as Baby Boomers become eligible for
both, we are rapidly running out of other people's money. These
deficits are simply not sustainable. They are either going to result in
unprecedented new taxes and inflation, or they will bankrupt us.
While we clearly need health-care reform, the last thing our country
needs is a massive new health-care entitlement that will create
hundreds of billions of dollars of new unfunded deficits and move us
much closer to a government takeover of our health-care system.
Instead, we should be trying to achieve reforms by moving in the

Interview with AR-15-Toting Protester at Obama Rally was Staged
08-19-2009
•
Phoenix Nude Times
In case you missed it, about a dozen men with guns showed up at an
Obama healthcare rally in Phoenix this Monday, at least one of them
carrying a semi-automatic rifle.
The man packing the AR-15 (a really big gun)--identified only as "Chris B"--was interviewed by libertarian radio show host and publisher of libertarian site Freedoms Phoenix
Ernie Hancock (pictured, who was also carrying a gun at the time of the
interview). When asked why he was carrying a weapon, Chris B.
responded, "Because I can do it. In Arizona, I still have some
freedoms."
Chris B. also said that he "always carried a gun," except when showering, of course, when he'd "put it on the sink."
Eeek.
As it turns out, the entire interview was staged by Hancock, a
long-time acquaintance of "Chris B," whom he'd met while working on
presidential hopeful Ron Paul's campaign.

revealed to Rick Sanchez on CNN tha

The purpose is to encourage an open dialogue and address issues.
When it comes to demonstrations, open communication with those who plan on demonstrating is critical to the public safety.
The building up of trust with these groups enables us to understand
their intent, to plan accordingly, and to explain to them the law and
what the parameters are with law enforcement.
We work with our federal, state, and local partners who work events with us and share public safety information.
The purpose of the meeting with the person in question you asked about
was to facilitate good communication and understanding of the group’s
plan, our response, and the parameters within which we would work to
protect the public and enforce the law.
Their demonstration was met with our public safety plan, and the result was no law violations, no arrests, and a safe public.”

Baby boomers still getting high
08-19-2009
•
Reuters
Middle aged baby boomers are still turning on to illegal drugs forty years after Woodstock, doubling the rates of illicit drug use by the previous generation, according to a government study released on Wednesday.
The rates of people aged 50 to 59 who admit to using illicit drugs in the past year nearly doubled from 5.1 percent in 2002 to 9.4 percent in 2007 while rates among all other age groups are the same or decreasing, the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration reported.
"These findings show that many in the Woodstock generation continue to use illicit drugs as they age," said SAMHSA Acting Administrator Eric Broderick. "This continued use poses medical risks to these individuals and is likely to put further strains on the nation's healthcare system -- highlighting the value of preventing drug use from ever starting."
Baby boomers are the post World War II generation born between 1946 and 1964. The data used in the study cam

Radio Frequency ID chip technologies are "too vulnerable in too many ways," according to Chris Paget, an ethical hacker and partner for H4RDW4RE, a new company creating privacy and security solutions to existing RFID problems in the marketplace.
The public has been made aware of RFID or Radio Frequency ID technologies commissioned for national identity documents: passports, Enhanced Drivers Licenses, TWIC cards, Speed Passes and even Tribal Identity Cards. Unfortunately, RFID as a government sanctioned technology earned a big brother reputation from its ability to track a persons current location, storing and conveying private information from 20 - 30 feet away.

ObamaCare Shocker: Taxes to Go Up; Way Up
08-19-2009
•
The New American
Taxes are going to go way up if the Congress passes the ObamaCare health care scheme proposed in H.R. 3200, entitled the Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009. Just as rationing is woven into the very fabric of the bill, so are tax increases, which appear in many forms all the way through it, and are levied against every productive segment of society.
To cite just one subtle, but very costly example: If you have employer-based health insurance, your income taxes are going to go up in an unexpected way. Your health insurance is no longer going to be a tax deductble expense, since the health plan will now be run by the government and not your employer. You will now pay taxes on the higher gross amount.
President Obama, who said taxes will not rise for those with incomes under $250,000, expects you and your fellow citizens will contribute a quarter of a trillion dollars more over ten years under just this provision of the bill.
A Trillion Dollars to Reduce Uninsured by 6%.
