Photography Is Not A Crime
A 43-year-old man was jailed for six hours " and had his camera and
memory card confiscated by a judge - after filming an FBI building from
across the street in New York City Monday.
Randall Thomas, a professional photographer,
said he was standing on the corner of Duane Street and Broadway in
downtown Manhattan when he used his video camera to pan up and down on
the 42-story building at 26 Federal Plaza.
He was immediately accosted by a security guard in a brown uniform who told him he was not allowed to film the building.
Thomas asserted his legal right to film from a
public street. The guard called a Homeland Security Officer who asked
Thomas what he was filming.
“I said ‘that’s none of your business,’” Thomas said in a telephone interview with Photography is Not a Crime Wednesday night.

CIA Used Mock Executions to Torture Detainees

Washington Post
The tactics -- which one official described as a threatened
execution -- were used on Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, according to the
CIA's inspector general's report on the agency's interrogation program.
Nashiri, who was captured in November 2002 and held for four years in
one of the CIA's "black site" prisons, ultimately became one of three
al-Qaeda chieftains subjected to a form of simulated drowning known as
waterboarding.

U.S. Helps Spanish Company to Buy Texas Bank
08-21-2009
•
NY Times
Guaranty Bank, a deeply troubled Texas lender, was sold on Friday to Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria of Spain in one of the largest government-assisted deals offered to a foreign firm. Federal regulators seized Guaranty Bank and simultaneously brokered the
sale of its branches as well as most of the deposits and assets to BBVA
Compass, the Spanish bank’s American subsidiary. The government,
however, agreed to absorb most of the losses on $9.7 billion, or more
than 80 percent, of the Guaranty assets included in the deal.

Barack Obama’s Administration Kills a Military Fly Over (Video)
8/21/09
•
RS
For 42 years, the God and Country Rally in Idaho has started its rally with a military fly over.
The God and Country Rally is a non-denominational rally that supports American soldiers.
For 42 years the Pentagon has carried out the military fly over.
Not any more.
In Barack Obama’s America, the military is no longer allowed to do such things if the group requesting the fly over is Christian oriented.
That’s not an exaggeration.
Let’s roll the tape:
Video;

Army of the Lord? Obama Seeks Health Care Push From Pulpit
8/20/09
•
Fox News
Thousands of religious leaders got a call from on high Wednesday as President Obama reached out to Jewish and Christian clergy, asking some to sermonize in favor of health care reform.
If President Obama has his way, you'll soon be hearing about his health care package when you go to your church or synagogue to pray.
Thousands of religious leaders got a call from on high Wednesday when Obama reached out to Jewish and Christian clergy, urging them to push health care reform from the pulpit.
Obama spoke to about 140,000 people of faith in a conference call and webcast Wednesday evening. He and a White House official discussed the moral dimension of health care, telling the mostly Christian audience that "this debate over health care goes to the heart of who we are as a people."

Newt Gingrich: Sopranos-style tactics in health care
8/21/09
•
Washington Examiner
Like a mafia underboss trying to face down a rival crime family, the powerful California Democratic chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee has resorted to ugly intimidation tactics with opponents of government-run health care.
In the spirit of Joe McCarthy, earlier this week, Waxman and House Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee Chairman Bart Stupak, D-MI, sent a letter to 52 of the nation's largest health insurance companies that contained a not-so-veiled threat.
Waxman and Stupak's letter demanded detailed information from health insurance companies about executive pay, corporate conferences and retreats, and other business practices. More....

Looks like a full-court anti-militia press is on.

Think of it as a bellwether: National Public Radio interviews some dork from the Southern Poverty Law Center about the new rise of militias. Folks, our own Ernest Hancock, Chris, and the New Hampshire guy are the sole impetus for this calculated propaganda move.
Here's a sample:
MARTIN: What defines a militia group?
Mr. POTOK: Well,
essentially these are groups that, as you suggested, have a very
extreme anti-government belief. They typically see the government as a
sort of agent of the New World Order that the elites who run the
government are leading this country into a kind of socialistic one
world government in which Americans will lose their rights and
liberties. And it's a movement, you know, very animated by conspiracy
theories. The idea, for instance, that FEMA has a secret set of
concentration camps built around the country, you know, in order to
throw good, patriotic Americans and so on." I.e., people who pay attention?

Gun-toter was publicity stunt, not threat to president
(The Valley Tribune Newspaper in Arizona)
Ernest Hancock
First, take a look at the Sanchez video:
Now, pop over to Talking Points Memo and you’ll get a good summary of what the liberal blogosphere is saying about Hancock and the gun incident.
Look, I’m not going to defend some of Hancock’s wilder theories
about politics and news events. But I’ve known the man for at least six
years. He used to be the producer on a local radio talk show I
guest-hosted one day for three hours. Hancock is passionate about
defending American liberties as outlined in the U.S. Constitution, and
that includes the Second Amendment. He wants to engage the public in
debating these issues, and finds unusual ways to do so. He’s not out to
hurt anyone.

And ignore your role in creating it. Don't worry, I'll take care of that for you.
That's because you were willfully ignoring the facts that were staring you in the face - not surprising, given that you were one of the chief architects of the policies that led to the mess.
You have actually entirely ignored the limits of your legal authority, including most specifically your taking of equity in securities that do not have the formal full faith and credit of the US Federal Government.
Nobody in Congress seems to care, but I do. The fact that there is no "or else" in the Federal Reserve Act (as amended) is likely the cause, as the worst punishment that can be meted out to you would be impeachment (and even that's open to question) or refusal to reappoint you.
In contrast, in the case of t

AS VETS AWAIT CHECKS - VA WORKERS GET $24 MILLION IN BONUSES:
WASHINGTON " Outside the Veterans Affairs Department, severely wounded veterans have faced financial hardship waiting for their first disability payment. Inside, money has been flowing in the form of $24 million in bonuses.
In scathing reports this week, the VA’s inspector general said thousands of technology office employees at the VA received the bonuses over a two-year period, some under questionable circumstances. It also detailed abuses ranging from nepotism to an inappropriate relationship between two VA employees.
The inspector general accused one recently retired VA official of acting “as if she was given a blank checkbook” as awards and bonuses were distributed to employees of the Office of Information and Technology in 2007 and 2008. In some cases the justification for the bonuses was inadequate or questionable, the IG said.

Libertarian Talker Pulls Big Publicity Coup (Talker Magazine)
Ernest Hancock
Libertarian Talker Pulls Big Publicity Coup. Phoenix-based
talk host and libertarian activist Ernest Hancock took the media for a
ride as the orchestrator of the “man with the assault rifle at the
Obama health care rally.” By now you’ve seen video of “Chris,” the
well-dressed black man with the rifle over his shoulder being
interviewed by Hancock at the recent Phoenix event. CNN’s Rick Sanchez
ran with the story as did other media outlets questioning why someone
would need to have a loaded rifle at a rally where the president was
appearing. That’s legal in Arizona and Hancock later admitted to
Sanchez on CNN that they told the police they would be there and it was
indeed designed to bring attention to Second Amendment rights.
Hancock’s “Declare Your Independence” show is available on the internet
and several terrestrial stations. Hancock also operates the
libertarian-oriented news portal and website freedomsphoenix.com.

Bring out your Dead - Free Burials Next?
08-21-2009
•
BlueLoriBlogSpot
According to this report from USA Today "Demand Rises For Publicly Funded Burials" that could be quite a Tab for the Living to pick up with obama's death care. Through the generations no one I know of (speaking family wise) would have thought to pass that burden (something that is oppressive or worrisome) onto their own children people made arrangements for their demise. Leaving the bill for government would mean your children, grandchildren would now have to pick up the Tab to bury complete strangers.
