Worse than expected: July LOST 637,000 jobs!!

I just get such a kick out of the “positive” jobs report - think about this, July lost jobs for the 19th consecutive month, but the unemployment rate went DOWN! How do you do that? Well, you move 422,000 people out of the “Civilian labor force”, 155,000 out of “Employment”, 267,000 OUT OF “UNEMPLOYMENT” - even though more are unemployed!!, and move 637,000 INTO “Not in labor force” - there is your reality folks, July LOST 637,000 jobs!!
And the market rallied on the bull that unemployment decreased! This administration has taken restating the numbers to a new height!
Government and media have taken “spin” to a whole new level. You can’t just listen to/read the news anymore. You have to actually look at the reports and know how to interpret them. Since most folks can’t/won’t do that, most folks remain mis-informed. Sad. And dangerous.

Nanowires That Behave Like Cells

Researchers at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory have sealed
silicon-nanowire transistors in a membrane similar to those that
surround biological cells. These hybrid devices, which operate
similarly to nerve cells, might be used to make better interfaces for
prosthetic limbs and cochlear implants. They might also work well as
biosensors for medical diagnostics.

As you may have surmised I like The Market Ticker columns. I have posted many of them. I see Denningers work as speaking truth to power. There is one thing however he never seems to address as is the case in the above referenced article I just posted. I left a comment over at the ticker forum and hopefully he will address it. If not I think there is something being left out of this story and that is the LOOTING of Fannie/Freddie by the Left.
When you have time I suggest you read this it is a bit old but shows another part of the story.

Much to their dismay, Americans learned last year that they “owned” Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Well, meet their cousin, Ginnie Mae or the Government National Mortgage Association, which will soon join them as a trillion-dollar packager of subprime mortgages. Taxpayers own Ginnie too.
Only last week, Ginnie announced that it issued a monthly record of $43 billion in mortgage-backed securities in June. Ginnie Mae President Joseph Murin sounded almost giddy as he cheered this “phenomenal growth.” Ginnie Mae’s mortgage exposure is expected to top $1 trillion by the end of next year"or far more than double the dollar amount of 2007. (See the nearby table.) Earlier this summer, Reuters quoted Anthony Medici of the Housing Department’s Inspector General’s office as saying, “Who would have predicted that Ginnie Mae and Fannie Mae would have swapped positions” in loan volume?

Herein lies the problem. The FHA’s standard insurance program today is notoriously lax. It backs low downpayment loans, to buyers who often have below-average to poor credit ratings, and with almost no oversight to protect against fraud. Sound familiar? This is called subprime lending"the same financial roulette that busted Fannie, Freddie and large mortgage houses like Countrywide Financial.
The article goes on to note that as of the end of this year FHA and Ginnie will have issued and hold one trillion dollars of mortgages, that the current default rate is now 7%, and the delinquent rate is running some 13%.
Why?
Because the same crooks, swindlers and thieves that infested the housing market in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 in "subprime" and "ALT-A" have now moved into the FHA product.
There is only ONE way to guarantee safety and soundness in mortgage lending. ONE!

Among the 21 members of HCAN's steering committee are ACORN, MoveOn.org, the Center for American Progress and the Campaign for America’s Future (CAF).
CAF is another institution that has received funding from Soros and the Rockefeller Family Fund. (The Rockefellers have always been major investors in the pharmaceutical industry, and have always been instrumental in directing legislation in a direction that benefits there pharma investments.)

Freddie Mac Using the Goldman Sachs Business (Casino) Model

You gotta love the recent report on Freddie Mac's performance. The headline was a profit BUT only if they didn't include the dividend on its senior preferred stock. So they lost money, again. But that's not what is being reported.
Moreover, no one is talking about the fact that Freddie Mac made more than $4B on their derivative portfolio. I just don't get it. First, we loan Goldman Sachs and the Banksters money that they are supposed to put to work in the economy . . . but instead they just trade stocks and bonds - casino style. Now we have Freddie Mac admitting in the fine print that they would have actually lost almost $5 billion if they did not throw the dice on the derivatives markets.
I guess my question is this. Who is going to cover their losses when they lose? Same thing for the big banks. Who is going to cover their losses when they lose? A

Barack Obama and liberals in Congress are moving quickly to pass health care "reform" that opens the door for a national, governement run health care system.
And Americans must speak out now and tell Congress "NO!" as loudly as possible.
Obama already laid the groundwork for this with the recent "stimulus" bill...which provided billions to study how to give us the same kind of socialized health care as Great Britain...with a "national health care board" that would decide who gets what kind of care, and when.
It's all about control. Control over one-seventh of the entire US economy. Control over how we live our lives.

Remember all the outrage when the public learned that Citigroup was going to spend money on new corporate jets despite needing billions of taxpayer dollars to remain afloat?
Well, we’ve found another group that is wasting taxpayer dollars on unnecessary passenger jets. Despite the recession, higher than expected budgetary outlays and lower revenues, one group propped up by a virtually unlimited amount of taxpayer dollars and whose debt is supported by the explicit guarantee of the full faith and credit of the American people has decided to double the number of passenger jets it is buying.
They go by the name of The House of Representatives.

Lobbyists Spent Over $27 Million From April To June Trying To Shape The Climate Bill

Leading up to the vote on the climate bill, 1,150 business and interest groups lobbied Congress on climate issues, spending an estimated $27 million or more, according to a report from watchdog group, the Center For Public Integrity.
Of that, 460 of the lobbying groups were formed in the second quarter of this year, just to focus on shaping the bill.
Everyone got in on the lobbying action from universities to farm hands to religious groups.
Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization of America, as well as the National Advocacy Center of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd lobbied on the bill for a year. This prompted Americans United for Separation of Church and State to jump into the fray in the second quarter to make sure that religious groups didn't get subsidies to make their places of worship eco-friendly.
