US Disinformation on Syria

The US falsely calls the Syrian Arab Republic a "state sponsor of terrorism." Its agenda is polar opposite. 

The Trump regime's State Department lied, saying Damascus provides "political and military support to various terrorist groups."

Fact: Greatly aided by Russian airpower, Hezbollah fighters, and Iranian military advisors, Syrian forces continue combatting the scourge of US, NATO, Turkish, Israeli, Saudi-supported ISIS and likeminded terrorist groups.

War in its 9th year was launched by Obama, continued by Trump, Pentagon troops he claimed were being withdrawn from the country continue occupying large parts of northern and southern Syria, including oil producing areas, looting them for profit-making by private interests and the CIA.

The report falsely claimed Damascus maintains a "permissive attitude towards AQ (al-Qaeda) and other terrorist groups' foreign terrorist fighter facilitation efforts during the Iraq conflict fed the growth of AQ, ISIS, and affiliated terrorist networks inside Syria," adding: 

"The Syrian government's awareness and encouragement for many years of terrorists' transit through Syria to Iraq for the purpose of fighting US forces before 2014 is well documented (sic).

Fact: I've explained many times that ISIS, al-Qaeda, its al-Nusra offshoot in Syria, and likeminded groups in the country and elsewhere are US creations, supported by the Pentagon and CIA — what Syrian and allied forces have been combatting for years.

Their scourge has been largely eliminated from most parts of the country, Idlib province the main exception, infested with many thousands of US-supported al-Nusra and likeminded jihadists, aided by White Helmets, masquerading as civil defense workers.

US bases in Syria are used as platforms for endless aggression and training jihadists to attack government forces and civilians, including by CW incidents falsely blamed on Damascus.

US aggression in multiple theaters, including Syria, "is well documented." The US report on the country includes a litany of disinformation, Big Lies and fake news — propaganda war, supplementing US hot war.

Report: "Shia militia groups… aligned with Iran…are US-designated foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs)."

Fact: The only FTOs in Syria and elsewhere regionally are US supported jihadists — enemies of Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, and other countries where the US deploys them.

Report: Syria "purchased oil from ISIS through various intermediaries, adding to the terrorist group's revenue (sic)."

Fact: The US and Turkey conspired with ISIS to steal Syrian oil. The absurdity of the above US claim needs no elaboration.

Separately, the State Department  noted the "global challenge of chemical, biological, radiological (and) nuclear terrorism."

Unexplained was that the US, its imperial partners, and jihadist foot soldiers pose these threats, not sovereign states Washington falsely accuses of being state sponsors of terrorism.

A Final Comment

On October 31, Tulsi Gabbard introduced H. Con. Res. 70 — "Directing the President pursuant to section 5(c) of the War Powers Resolution to remove United States Armed Forces from hostilities in the Syrian Arab Republic that have not been authorized by Congress."

It calls US war in Syria "unconstitutional," including activities relating to "securing, guarding, possessing, profiting off of, or developing oil fields in northern Syria," adding:

"Oil, natural resources, and land in Syria belong to the Syrian people, not the United States."

The measure has no listed co-sponsored. Gabbard alone among presidential aspirants supports, peace, equity and justice.

Other aspirants favor war and other dirty business as usual. The measure was referred to the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Control by warmongers, H. Con. Res. 70 is dead on arrival.
