Early Friday morning it looked like Sacha Baron Cohen had done it again
with his new film Brüno. With post-midnight ticket sales in the neighborhood of $1.6 million some Hollywood insiders were predicting around $50 million for the opening weekend
Well, $50 million didn't happen. Brüno finished the weekend with a
respectable $30.4 million. But, $20 million is a pretty big gap... what
caused such an erroneous projection? Well, TIME thinks Twitter is to blame.
Did Twitter cost Brüno millions? Tell us what you think.
"Brüno's box-office decline from Friday to Saturday indicates that
the film's brand of outrage was not the sort to please most moviegoers
— and that their tut-tutting got around fast. Brüno could be the first movie defeated by the Twitter effect."
With techsavvy moviegoers tweeting their opinions to literally millions of followers, the micro-blogging site can make or break a film in one day.

Total U.S. debt as a percent of GDP surged to 375% in the first quarter, a new post 1870 record, and well above the 360% average for 2008. Therefore, the economy became more leveraged even as the recession progressed. An over- leveraged economy is one prone to deflation
That "biomass" and "other organically-based energy sources" wouldn't necessarily be limited to plant material — animal and human corpses contain plenty of energy, and they'd be plentiful in a war zone.
There is no greater political smear than accusing someone of being an advocate of judicial activism. But the truth is that both conservatives and liberals do not really disfavor judicial activism. What both the left and the right really dislike is the neutral application of constitutional principles when it thwarts their policy goals.
This kind of thing is what prompts casual observers to wonder if the president is a cynical shill for business as usual, or a victim of the worst conventional thinking with no real vision, or just another clueless sleepwalking bozo with a charming veneer.

The head appeared over bushes ten feet tall. It was about the size of a beer keg and was shaped like that of a tapir, as if the snout was used for pulling things or taking hold of them. The eyes were small and dull and set in like those of an alligator. Despite the half dried mud we could see that the neck, which was very snakelike, only thicker in proportion, as rough knotted like an alligator's sides rather than his back.
Comprehensive study by Anthony Watts reveals stunning problems. Eight hundred and fifty-four (854) of the 1221 official climate monitoring stations across the country were surveyed and nearly 90% are not properly sited.
Some are located next to buildings and heat-generating electrical equipment. This alone taints the climate record and leads to erroneous warming. Other changes have imparted irregular warming, such as changing the coating on the Stevenson screens, the shelters used to house thermometers, from a whitewash to latex paint in 1979.
An experiment by Watts proves the latex-painted shelters are slightly warmer than the whitewashed shelters. And then you have to account for the change in the actual thermometers, from those requiring manual readings to the new electronic version that's been gradually phased in since the mid 1980s.

The most remarkable
thing about civil unrest is that there hasn't been more of it.
Politicians
are making a hash of this country – and much of the rest of the
civilized world. We know it. They know it. They know we know it.
But we don't feel we can do anything much to stop them.
That right
there is the pre-condition for civil unrest – when people are
frustrated and politicians are nervous.
Worse, that
was how things stood before last fall's crash. Before pols on both
left and right launched the biggest mass transfer of wealth in history – transferring
our wealth (what we had left of it!) to their friends on Wall Street
and in the banking industry. In other words, that's how things were
before things got bad!
Global warming is based 100% on junk science. The most vocal promoters
are not interested in the details of physical science. They are
interested in two things: political control over the general public and
the establishment of international socialism.

(This BBC video explains how the US Military has moved from inside the cities to just outside the cities out of sight where they'll be waiting for..... The media is being scrubed of the many new large US military bases around the country. If there is any sort of an uprising against the 'USA approved' government there will be intervention... immediately. Just as with Vietnam, this war will continue until it is no longer funded.)

A great documentry, even if you dont listen to Metal.
Well done, very informative. The main stream media fails to show us
what everyday Iraqi's go through just to exist, in this war torn land.
It was interesting to for me to hear there perspective about what has
happened to there nation since 2003.
As far as the metal goes. I would
mosh and bang my head at there show. m/ And a comment to the last "review" by Dylan S.You
obviously did not even pay attention to any of the film makers
commentary. And No you can't "sympathize with their situation"
Until.... Salt lake, UT, has daily suicide bombers, snipers,
