Colbert: ‘It’s not a perfect world’ so we can’t probe torture

Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert believes that it’s ridiculous to dwell on the past.
“If God wanted us to have hindsight, he’d have put eyes on our butts,” Colbert pointed out as he expounded upon the torture debate.
“Haven’t they suffered enough?” Colbert asked in mock exasperation about Bush officials who may be targeted if Attorney General Holder appoints a special prosecutor to investigate torture allegations. “They witnessed torture!”
