Wyoming's answer to the PorcFest: the first annual Wyoming Liberty Fest

The first annual Wyoming Liberty Fest will be held in Lander, Wyoming on the weekend of August 21, 22 & 23. The purpose of the gathering is for liberty-minded individuals of all political persuasions to socialize and organize to further the cause of liberty in Wyoming. The event is already shaping up to be a great success. Information is available at www.wyominglibertyfest.org.

The WLF has an impressive lineup of speakers, including State Senator Cale Case, State Representative Amy Edmonds, constitutional scholar Vern Cox, the Wyoming and Washington State Libertarian Chairpersons, and a representative of the Campaign for Liberty, a national group founded by former presidential candidate Ron Paul. Also presenting will be economist Shane Scheid of the Wyoming Liberty Group and long-time Wyoming defender of liberty Charles Curley. Sunday’s gun range activities will be supervised by Wyoming State Shooter’s Association president and author Mark Spungin.

Shepard Humphries, organizer of the Wyoming Liberty Fest and Jackson Hole resident, says:

“Our convention will be attended by folks representing many political affiliations; we will have libertarians, conservatives, liberals of both the classical and contemporary kind, constitutionalists and many independents. I figured that for the first WLF we would only have about 25 in attendance, but pre-registration is already triple that number.”

I think I know a guy out there with a nice piece of land that would be ideal for this sort of thing. It's got pools, tennis courts, stables, the works. If I can just think of his name. Dick somebody......Dick Blaney? The name will come to me......
