The Democratic Strategy or Not

On last night’s Colbert Report, a democratic strategist came on (sorry don’t remember the name) and spoke of how the democrats were going to get fired up so that their party could defeat either the Tea Party or the Republicans, whoever ended up being on the ballad for the upcoming election.

Not a word came out of anyone or the various clips shown, that gave a Democrat, a reason to get fired up. Understandably, you cannot intellectually support socialistic doctrine. It’s like trying to defend the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and the number one reason why the Republicans have been slaughtered in some of the primaries by Tea Party candidates. The mainstream Demopublicans primary problem is that some Tea Party candidates are proposing libertarian political perspectives that actually are good for the majority taken power from them. However, beware of the tea bagger/wolf in sheep’s clothing from some of the Tea “Party” candidates.

PROBLEM: The status quo is preferred by both the Democrats and Republicans, then the sort of libertarian perspectives being promoted by some very popular Tea Party candidates.

Intellectuals have long debated conclusively the beneficial aspects of a true free market system over socialism, where government is basically a shell in which people "voluntarily" participate in organizing the various necessities of the human experience.  Socialism is a "forced" redistribution of wealth using political compromise that has long contributed to violence, war and a misallocation of resources and services.

The Constitution is very much about the individual liberty that is so important to the free market perspective that the citizens of this country are starting to recognize as an integral element of a civil society. The Tea Party is correct in embracing the Constitutions original intent, as it was and still is probably the best document of liberty and free enterprise ever written, although I’m not an expert on constitutions.

Was the original intent of our constitution subverted or was there just some loopholes that needs to be closed that allowed those in power to alter the intent of our founding fathers vision? I think a little of both, but that is my opinion. I believe a Constitutional Convention is once again needed to close such loopholes and to reset the very protections and mandates the document is supposed to provide.

I find some Tea Party candidates that do not really seem to embrace the real intent of our founders, partially no fault of their own. Just like every aspect of the human experience, the forces of god and money play a powerful role in the rule of law that governs us all and many are misinformed as to the intent and foundation of the document. The more that we can place ourselves in a position that advocates ethics over religious dogma I believe, will produce the better overall society. The 1st amendment is pretty clear yet the various religions sadly just can’t help themselves in promoting their dogma, despite what the Constitution says and what our founding fathers intent was.

One thing that we do not have to debate is that socialism has always failed and that it does not stop unscrupulous enterprise from doing the many dubious things that we see and hear of. Understanding how to implement free market solutions to free market problems is what we need to start debating and implementing.  With all that said, the Democrats can only continue to provide misinformation and point at the advocates as the bad guys and the country will eventual catch on to their distortions.  The Republican hopefully will be taken over by the Constitutionalists until such time as a better Constitutional document can be rewritten to further enhance the libertarian principles our founders envisioned.
