Transparency

For those of you that are cognizant enough to be following the Wikileaks story, it is an historical event that we are experiencing. As more and more specific information is being analyzed and reported, the information is clearly portraying a very different world than what we have be led to believe by the mass media talking heads and the political elites. Not that many people didn’t already know that the media has long been bought and paid for, it’s just that their line of bullshit was even convincing to the people who knew they were providing misinformation and withholding information.

From the Wikileaks Website:

"WikiLeaks is a non-profit media organization dedicated to bringing important news and information to the public. We provide an innovative, secure and anonymous way for independent sources around the world to leak information to our journalists. We publish material of ethical, political and historical significance while keeping the identity of our sources anonymous, thus providing a universal way for the revealing of suppressed and censored injustices. – I wonder if Obama will get a charitable tax deduction for such great contributions to the site."

One of my friends said what’s the problem, that type of information should be public information anyway. How many of the past Presidents have stated that “they” will create a new age of transparency and open government in their campaign rhetoric. Obama is the only President that has actually followed through on this campaign promise. Perhaps he is going to turn out to be a good President after all.

Thanks to Wikileaks, President Obama has at least accomplished one promise that he had campaigned on. Now there are people in his Administration that don’t apparently like the manner in which the President has fulfilled his promising, trying to figure out ways in which the leader at Wikileaks, Julian Assange, might be guilty of a crime such as some sort of BS espionage/patriot Act  Violations. The problem is, Wikileaks is the messenger, not the informant who leaked the info, are therefore is rightfully protected under the 1st Amendment. The problem is the Judges are no longer protecting the Constitution rights of our Citizens, even when they are actually providing a public service.

How bad is leaked information like the Obama administration, putting pressure on the Spanish Government to stop the prosecution of members of the Bush Administration for using torture, a war crime according to the Geneva Convention? We have to protect our own, don’t we, even if they are breaking international law?  To me, I don’t see a problem with that. How cool would it be to see the President of the most powerful country, militarily, in the world go on trial for this ordering torture? Perhaps it would at least better define torture. Many other World leaders are tried for various actions they’ve committed, so to me a newly retired U.S. President in a World Court setting on the issue of torture would be of great interest and would surely send a message to other leaders. Isn’t that why so many Judges are so hard on so many private Citizens, to send a message to the rest of society? If he’s innocent, I wonder why the Obama Administration, made such an effort to stop the prosecution? A simple question sometimes speaks a thousand worlds. At least now we’re getting some true answers for now.

Of course, the various ruling elites of the world, hiding behind the police power of government are doing what they can legally do, concerned of course with public opinion, currently not favorable, at trying to stop Mr. Assange and his organization, having even gone to the length to indict him for sexually assault. Apparently Mr. Assange has a sexual encounter with a couple of Swedish ladies, “without” the use of a condom, apparently a crime in that county. Perhaps the authorities will have his sperm placed under house arrest, as they may possibly assault other unsuspecting ladies. All kidding aside, the international police organization Interpol, has an obviously embarrassing arrest warrant out on Mr. Assange but never the less the Diplomatic Community, if that is what we should call them now, after some of their stealth activity has been exposed, has been humiliated and will assuredly try to seek revenge. This is historic people, keep reading.
