Who is the Republican “Manchurian Candidate” Americans will unwittingly support to become the next president of the United States?

     Before identifying who that candidate is, a brief background first as to how the public understands what it means to be a “Manchurian Candidate”.

     If you have seen the movie “The Manchurian Candidate”, it would be much easier to identify and understand who he is among the GOP candidates running for president in 2012.

     This award-winning cinematography is a “political thriller” based on a novel written by Richard Condon [1959]. It was filmed to become one of cinema’s great gate-grossers twice under the same title, once in 1962 and the 2004 remake that stirred a lot of controversies. Condon was charged of plagiarism. It appears that Condon copied Robert Graves’ 1934 novel, I, Claudius. But the thrust of this editorial is not towards this particular controversy.  It is rather aimed at exposing the plot of the novel, and to identify who the “Manchurian Candidate” is among the current presidential wannabes of the Republican Party.

     As the author described the plot in the novel, the candidate is brainwashed to become an unwitting assassin of American interest. This candidate that I am talking about does not need to be brought to Manchuria to be indoctrinated to destroy the country. He is a self-indoctrinated oddity who believes that he alone could save the country. He is unaware that his self-deluding patriotism will in fact destroy the country.

     If Obama decides to run for re-election, he will become the “Manchurian Candidate” of the Democratic Party. It would then break the Republican monopoly of fielding a candidate who is an assassin of American interest. Millions of Americans believe that Obama’s foreign pro-Islamic policy, disastrous political and economic decisions had already led the way to self-destruction. Turning this nation from Capitalism to welfare socialism if not Marxist communism, is the worst of all destructions Americans expect if Obama wins his second term in office.

     Newt Gingrich is more Manchurian than the rest of the GOP presidential wannabes.

His failed “Contract with America” when he was then Speaker, will haunt this country when he becomes president.

      In that unsuccessful Republican immigration reform proposal in Congress, Gingrich led the move to CRIMINALIZE more than four hundred thousand undocumented immigrants in the country [then the estimated figure of GOP’s presidential candidate John McCain]. The mean-spirited rational behind it is that when by law those “illegals” are declared “criminals”, law enforcers can hunt them down and shoot them like ordinary criminals. A notorious Republican warlock even argued that it is one of the easiest way and one of the less costly means of reducing the number of immigration fugitives in the country!

      This Republican mean-spiritedness extended to children of undocumented immigrants born in this country and therefore by birth are American citizens. But because their parents are classified as undocumented immigrants who have been living here for quite a number of years, they want to go after at their innocent children …deprive them of all social benefits, deny them of publicly funded hospitalization as well as refused admission to public schools.

     Immigrants from different parts of the world populate this country. Across the land, almost all American immigrants acted in unison against this Republican mean-spiritedness and in 2004 kicked the Republicans in the butt. Republican leadership was booted out of Congress.

     If you are watching the series of the GOP presidential debates, the candidates are pointing to each other as assassin of public interest.  Not a single one of them is “clean”. All of them have a mark of the “beast”, so to speak [the markings of a “Manchurian Candidate”].

     Judging from the nature of the assassination of American interest, and the degree of destruction Americans are terrified to expect, Ron Paul is most likely “The Manchurian Candidate” of all the candidates.  In fact he is so frightening that the Main Stream Media described him as an “unelectable” GOP presidential candidate. MSM reporters and journalists are “ignoring” him, their way of telling the people not to elect him or as a nuisance candidate, just dump him.

     For example, if Al Qaeda terrorists strike again, bringing death and destructions to the country, Ron Paul would fault the nation rather than blame the terrorists. It is part of his campaign platform; in the wake of 911, he blamed Americans and declared those Islamic assassins not blameworthy at all! This is not just a statement – it is a statement on record which is public knowledge.

      This presidential wannabe would recreate America by abolishing important departments of the government if not all the departments of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government. Americans feared this kind of destruction of our tripartite form of Government that our great forebears had engineered and written down in the Constitution. 

      There are more skeletons of destruction in his agenda, which by definition truly identified Ron Paul as “The Manchurian Candidate” of the Republican Party.

      But as the plot in the movie goes, this puppetry of self always has a sad ending.  The plot is exposed and the result is self-destruction.
