Veterans are people too!!!

• News

I think it is prudent to tread lightly with stories coming from a liberal pacifist website that portrays veterans of the 911 era SERIAL KILLERS, as a combat injured permanently disabled veteran I take the up most offense. We don't have all the facts and stories like these stereotype all veterans negatively and you chose this to run on your front page. Lest we forget it is the military men/women that give reporters freedom of speech not reporters.

You are deluded.  If you ever wake up do something productive to make amends.

In my younger days, I was proud I was in the Military. Years later, that pride is still with me, and I take offense of any abuse of the Military done by ingrates. In the battlefield, I risked my life too. My children took the risk of being fatherless, and my wife a widow when I am put in the box with a drape of Stars and Stripes over it if I am not lucky enough to return alive. And just for that insane reason that in war soldiers "kill", you stereotyped us as SERIAL KILLERS? What kind of a monster are you?

Even if we grant that you are not that kind of a monster calling us soldiers "serial killers", that "soldier" in Afghanistan that allegedly "slaughtered families and children" of the enemy could be insane or could not be insane, for all we know. But if he was insane, how could all veterans and soldiers be stereotyped as insane like him, and brand them all as SERIAL KILLERS?

You must be suffering some kind of mental illness.

To the writer of this letter to the Editor, and to you Brag as I read your comment with a squinting eye – let us get this straight for your peace of mind.

FreedomPhoenix.com is a website of "Libertarian Revolutionaries" whose main thrust is to discredit the Government of the United States leading to its downfall, and in its place establish a Libertarian Government.

So far, the visible politician being used for this purpose is Ron Paul. So my first enlightening information for both of you is that don’t be surprised why the front page this website is littered with blaring headlines about this Libertarian candidate for president under the shell of the Republican Party.

The second important reality I want you to wake up to is that the Editor will publish only the Government and the people in the Government -- except Congressman Ron Paul who gets his bread and butter from the Government -- as the "culprit", and never the victim of abuse or harm done by their destroyers.

For example, the Police tries to suppress a street riot of angry demonstrators and violent anarchists where scores of both law enforcers and out-of-control anti-Government radicals are injured or dead. The Government and the State always come out from the headlines as abominable tyrants – the oppressors of the people’s constitutional right to protest, and worse than that … you name it! Violent rock-throwing mob that started the burning, the injury and the killing in the first place, is portrayed as the "victim" of a Police State. And the enemy of the State marches on under the mantra of down with the United States of America, The Evil Empire!

The killing of ex-Marine Guerena by the SWAT Team that raided his house is a sterling example that graced the front page of this website for quite some time. Guerena was a drug dealer, an active member of a drug-trafficking gang engaged in criminal activities. He had a rifle in his hands when the raiders entered his house and was shot dead. The drug-trafficker was venerated as a "hero" killed by "monsters in police uniforms, etc.". Did the Editor bother to publish the incontrovertible fact that the person killed in that police raid was a drug-trafficker who with a rifle in his hands would have shot and killed a police officer?

Back to this alleged "massacre" story of "civilians" in Afghanistan, did Editor Powell Gammill give the reading public [his responsibility as Editor] a chance to know what the real facts are with a supporting and convincing evidence that the soldier who reportedly did this carnage was a SERIAL KILLER?

Instead, he sweepingly attacked the writer of the letter that asked him to be "prudent" in publishing a story that he had never verified. He said, You are deluded. If you ever wake up do something productive to make amends. As Editor, he was not only rude and clumsy, but also rashly condescending.

Was he acting as "Editor" – or as a Libertarian rebel with such passion of contempt of soldiers that represent the Government in the Libertarian crusade to bring it down? The answer is obvious! It should have been smarter to camouflage the dagger before plunging it at the back. The brain situated not in the head but in the bare knuckle, speaks of Big Foot on the loose.

(P.S. To the letter-writer, to Brag and to Ernie – FYE only!)

The letter-writer is appealing to the Editor to be prudent in headlining stories from leftist propagandists, particularly left-leaning websites that generally, sweepingly, rashly and carelessly condemn our veterans, soldiers and all the men and women in uniform as "SEIRIAL KILLERS", without verifying the facts first and foremost.

The very essence of news reporting and the very bare-knuckles of investigative journalism [expose’] are the surrounding FACTS of the story – NOT the conclusion of the Reporter. To stereotype veterans as "serial killers" is a cardinal wrong in Journalism, which the book describes as "Yellow Journalism". I am a veteran. But what offends me is not the serial-killer stereotyping itself – it is the yellow journalist himself who does not serve the interest of the public but his own. There is no doubt that FreedomPhoenix.com gets a black eye for this -- probably a black star in the FBI Watch List.
