Child sex trafficking, QAnon, gun control, insanity plea...

This headline and article has swept across many online news portals; MSN, Yahoo, USA Today and etc. California man arrested in Iowa allegedly planning to kill Joe Biden, Anthony Fauci, Mark Zuckerberg. The article originated here: https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/crime-and-courts/2021/12/30/man-arrested-iowa-alleged-hit-list-joe-biden-bill-clinton-tiktok-qanon/9050360002/ DuckDuckGo: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=California+man+allegedly+planned+to+drive+to+White+House%2C+kill+Joe+Biden+and+Anthony+Fauci&t=opera&ia=web Yahoo and USA Today -- probably many others too -- have omitted the cell phone info from the Des Moines Register article and inserted two so called related links. Here's the omitted info: "In the man's cell phone, to which he allegedly granted investigators access, police discovered detailed notes on "survive supplies," a "safe life defense order," plans for "rifle pickup" and to "Save USA."" Absent that info it would appear to the casual reader that the guy is a loone who spilled the beans on himself. Here's the two paragraphs separated by two related story links sandwiched between them. "The QAnon conspiracy theory holds the false belief that high-level government figures, Democrats and celebrities are secretly engaged in child sex trafficking. [Inserted by USA Today and Yahoo] More: 3-year-old North Carolina girl who accidentally shot herself on Christmas dies Also: 16-year-old girl, mistaken for intruder, fatally shot by father at home in Ohio [End insert] The man has been charged with one count of threats to a former president, according to the criminal complaint, although it's possible additional charges could be added by a grand jury in a later indictment. Iowa court records show the man also was cited for speeding in Cass County." [Original in the DMR article but omitted in the USA Today and Yahoo articles] More:Iowa man and son to plead guilty to U.S. Capitol riot charges, according to court documents. [Credit MSN for posting the article intact] Also, DMR article doesn't mention the suspects name. Yahoo and USA Today do, Xiong.
