Bill Scannell is the principal architect of HavenCo, “a place for secure e-Commerce, privacy-protected Internet services, and uncensorable free speech.” Based on Sealand — a sovereign nation-state founded on an abandoned WWII anti-aircraft platform in international waters — HavenCo offers secure data storage insulated from government warrants, snooping, and other state depredations.

When Adobe Systems sued white-hat hacker Dmitry Sklyarov for the “crime” of publicly exposing the insecure encryption techniques in Adobe products, Bill organized a boycott of Adobe that forced the company to back off and drop their lawsuit.

Bill is currently organizing a worldwide boycott of Delta Airlines for their collaboration with the federal government in their role as the spearhead adopter of the new CAPPS-II air traveler tracking system.
