America, like other countries in the world, has an immigration limitation to effectively and responsibly absorb a certain number of people in to our economy and society.
This isn’t cruel or inhumane – this is a practice that is in effect in most countries – and those that don’t have a limit are in, most cases, those places that many people don’t often want to immigrate to.
This country, however, according to CNS News.com allowed 748,000 immigrants to receive permanent resident (LPR) status in 2009.
While there were 1.1 million people allowed to gain LPR status, 2/3 of these were granted because of family ties to citizens and green card holders. Understand that? 748,000 people were allowed
