How would you feel if a Facebook post, created by your daughter, cost you $80,000?
That is just what happened to Patrick Snay, the former head off Gulliver Preparatory School. The school official reached an agreement with the organization, which awarded $80,000 to Snay, in addition to $10,000 in back pay. This settlement was in response to an age discrimination suit filed by the official against the school, after they did not renew his contract. Snay then signed a confidentiality agreement with the educational institution.
Soon, his daughter, Dana, went on Facebook to brag about the decision to 1,200 followers.
She wrote, "Mama and Papa Snay won the case against Gulliver. Gulliver is now officially paying for my vacation to Europe this summer. SUCK IT."
Many followers of Dana Snay's Facebook page are current or former students at the institution. She is currently a student at Boston College.
