Today, for the first time, the US Department of Defense is hosting a science fair. They're calling it "lab day."

That sounds innocuous enough, but as you can probably guess, there won't be any vinegar volcanoes — unless someone at the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory has figured out how to weaponize them. But there will be lots of killer robots and other terrifying technologies designed to win the wars of the future. Great.
