So I started using this free encrypted email
• popularliberty.comIs anyone else using ProtonMail? It's a company out of Switzerland. A zero access provider
end-to-end encryption service.
You sign up for it and it takes about two weeks to get your account. There is a waiting list.
It's easy to use and the format looks similar to gmail. You can also encrypt attachments and change your settings to use 'aliases'. I didn't know why I would want to do that, but their explanation is:
"Aliases represent ProtonMail's introduction of sending from multiple email accounts within one ProtonMail account. In the future this feature will have implications such as potentially sending from non-ProtonMail accounts, ProtonMail accounts under custom domains, and multiple ProtonMail accounts, while being able to manage them all from one central hub.
