A Charlotte, North Carolina charity was forced to cancel their event, raising money for kids with terminal illnesses, after participants couldn;t handle the name of the event venue: the Trump National Golf Course.

The "Tri at the Trump" is a three-stage race (running, swimming and biking), where competitors raise money for various local charities that benefit children suffering from cancer and other devastating conditions.

But this year, the Tri at the Trump organizers say potential participants were triggered by the Trump name, and, over the summer, the group received several aggressive complaints about both the event, and the Trump National Golf Course.

Last week, in an effort to save the event and distance the race from the President, organizers changed the name from "Tri at the Trump" to "Tri for Good." "I hope by making this announcement, we can focus on what our core values are and the goals we are trying to achieve with our race," race organizer Chuck McAllister posted to the event's Facebook page.
