Teenage Lesbian Kiss in Netflix Kids' Jurassic Park Cartoon Sparks More Outrage...

• by Cassandra MacDonald

Netflix is facing intense backlash after a scene featuring a teenage lesbian kiss in its children's animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous went viral on social media.

The controversial moment appears in the ninth episode of the show's fifth season.

The screenshot of the scene has gained over seven million views on X, prompting yet another surge in subscription cancellations.

"This is from a children's cartoon on Netflix called Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. Since when has something like this been considered appropriate for children?!" the X user captioned the screenshot.

The scene is not new and was at the center of an investigation by Hungary into Netflix in 2022.

Breitbart News reports:

In 2022, Hungary's national media regulator launched an investigation into Netflix over Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, as the lesbian kiss scene is a possible violation of its 2021 law prohibiting LGBT-themed material targeted at children.

Hungary's National Media and Communications Authority (NMHH) announced it was investigating the streaming giant over the series, with the Hungarian newspaper Magyar Nemzet noting the cartoon is marketed toward children as young as seven years old.

The uproar comes amid controversy over another Netflix kids' show, Dead End: Paranormal Park, that was amplified after Elon Musk announced he was cancelling his subscription over it.

The series' creator, Hamish Steele, drew fire for a profanity-laced social media tirade against the recently assassinated Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, labeling him a "Nazi" and transgender themes in the show, which is also rated for seven-year-olds.
