It's Not About "Immigrants"

• https://www.ericpetersautos.com, By eric

The "immigrants" are of course illegals – a distinction the people who refer to them as "immigrants" do not want made, because they don't want citizens to express any resistance to the country being deliberately flooded with "immigrants" meant to displace citizens. They manipulate people's emotions, in other words. Turn their decent instincts into a weapon to be used against them.

The legitimate frustration citizens feel about this has been expertly manipulated by Trump; he got re-elected largely on his promise to get control of the open border and to get the people who are not here legally out of the country. Sounded good, right?

But what's happening on the street is not about that. If Trump wanted to get the "immigrants" – the illegals – out of the country, the easiest way to do that would be to issue an executive order (Trump issues these freely) that makes it illegal for any individual not a citizen or in the country lawfully to receive any government benefits paid for by American citizens via their taxes. He could use the power of the federal government to get state governments to abide by this, just the same as the feds do with DUI standards and speed limit laws.

There would be no need to grab people, one by one or in small groups, off the street and throw them into the back of government vans.

Turn off the spigot of "free" stuff and the freeloaders who are the problem would either self-deport or get jobs and play by the same rules that citizens are expected to – at which point there's no more problem. Most American citizens do not care whether a guy who hails from Mexico is in the crew putting shingles on the roof of their house; they are pissed that they're paying taxes to support "benefits" for people who are not paying taxes, don't pay for car insurance and don't pay for the "free" medical care and "free" education" provided by the local government school. Not because they think it's right to be forced to pay for these things but because they are forced to pay for them while the "immigrants" are benefitting from them without paying for them.

No one likes being a sucker, in plain language.

So – what is this business (snatching "immigrants" off the street and throwing them into the back of a van) really all about?
