NYT Columnist Paul Krugman's Anti-Trump Lunatic Fringe Tweet

by Stephen Lendman

If a CIA-led coup attempt in progress succeeds in denying Trump the presidency he won, The New York Times will have played a key role, sharing guilt with deep state plotters.

Krugman apparently is among their ranks by saying Trump has "incentives" to allow a false flag terrorist attack to help discredit claims of his "illegitimacy" while boosting his popularity.

He disgracefully tweeted "Thought: There was (rightly) a cloud of illegitimacy over Bush, dispelled (wrongly) by 9/11. Creates some interesting incentives for Trump."

Without referring to Krugman by name, Trump hit back, saying "(t)hey said that I wanted to have another catastrophe like that because it is good for my base."

"Anybody that says that - this guy is demented. He is a demented person. That is why the Times is failing."

Krugman should be held accountable for his despicable remark. A legitimate publication would fire him. Correction: no truth-telling one would hire him.

Is he a stealth CIA agent or asset? Media scoundrels employ lots of them, a longstanding practice going back decades, notably at The Times and Washington Post.

Krugman's mid-December anti-Trump column headlined "The Tainted Election," reading like something from the CIA's playbook, saying the agency "determined that hackers working for the Russian government worked to tilt the 2016 election to Donald Trump."

"This has actually been obvious for months," Krugman added. "So this was a tainted election…illegitimate in important ways…foreign intervention" responsible for Trump's triumph.

Deplorable stuff, fake news, not the real thing. Krugman disgraced himself, an anti-Trump propagandist masquerading as a journalist.

If Russia hacked or in any way interfered in America's election, evidence would have been presented weeks or months ago to substantiate a charge this serious.

So far, they've been only groundless accusations without proof because there is none. Russia in no way meddled in America's political process. No hacking occurred, only insider leaks from disgruntled Democrats opposed to Hillary's candidacy.

Nothing remotely suggests Trump hopes for a 9/11 type event to boost his popularity and unite the nation behind him the way it did for Bush after that fateful day.

Krugman is a fake news proliferator, a propagandist, a lunatic and a disgrace. His students would be best served by avoiding him altogether.
