Oh, yeah, Lacy is in it for the long haul, unless or until he runs head-on with old Fred's little trophy wife, Jeri. She has her own ideas as to how best to become the next First Lady.

Face it people, Fred Thompson is just a bad actor and a lobbyist at heart and not a very good lobbyist at that if his declared income from that period is any indication. The next Ronald Regan he is NOT. Besides one was enough.

A CFR member who says he would continue doing pretty much what Dubya is doing with Iraq just doesn't do it for me, no matter how nicely they manage to "package" him in an attempt to sell him to the voters.

A friend of mine has a favorite expression he trucks out every four years, which he applies to the candidates from both parties. It goes like this:

"You can polish a turd all day long but, at the end of the day, you still have a turd." (that goes for "packaging," too)

He says he has finally found a candidate he believes in as he proudly sports his Ron Paul tee shirts, bumper stickers and yard signs. He has joined the Ron Paul Revolution.
