Does the American flag belong in church?<br>by Becky Akers

Our allegiance belongs to God, not state power.

And whom you had better worship.
As it stands now you only get that reminder every election season when you are ordered to cease making pronouncements from the pulpit that could be construed as a political statement. That would be very bad. Mr. Taxman would have to come and take your church away.
Amen, Becky! Beware the 501 c3 incorporation trap baited by the IRS. Regarding the flag and our pledge of allegiance, remember, "the republic for which it stands" no longer exists! "No king but King Jesus!" was a revolutionary war battle cry. I recall the search for truth, justice, and liberty for all brings us to His feet...not the state and not the corrupted institutional churches.
