I read this article and tried to digest every word but ended up feeling like I was in the Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas highway ride.

I decided to look up the author and found that he has had some pretty negative things to say about Ron Paul, who I greatly admire:

"The oddity of this runner for Republican presidential nomination is that he exudes with an overabundance of rhetorical venoms that sting and daze his opponents in public debate, and spits his philosophical toxins to knock out his prey in public, i.e. "cockroaches" in Washington, D.C., or maybe the greedy, light-fingered "globalist United Nations", if not the U.S. policy makers in government; he accuses, convicts and hangs the government by the neck... [emphasis added]"

To comment on the article, I think the author was trying to colorfully describe a basic feature of human behavior that I would best illustrate by the analogy of a human in a dark unknown place and a flashlight. The dark room is the world and all the truth that the person has yet to understand. The flashlight is the act of self education by reading, interviewing, contemplating. With enough time and gumption, said person can explore and come to understand the true nature of the entire room. But most people only understand a little bit here and a little bit there. Now imagine that a few more people stumble through the room and encounter the one with the flashlight. But they are lazy and aren't using their flashlight to search around. So the guy with the flashlight tells them what he found in the room. They can choose to trust what this guy tells them about the room, find out about the room on their own or maybe run into other people and listen to what they have to say about the room.

Most people jump to conclusions about the room(world) based on the small amount of information they've discovered on their own (IRS troubles, getting laid off, other personal experiences) and the descriptions from their family, friends and acquaintances (internet, books).

Hopefully more and more of us (with our flash lights on) will convince others to turn on their flashlights and help with the investigation.

This writer should have done some research before writing this article. There is little excuse for this kind of apologism at this late date. Paranoia? Lord, they are feasting on the bones of people all over the planet - including, now, in the U.S. - and doing it baldly. No doubt, the writer is personally profiting from this predatory globalization and therefore has difficulty making moral distinctions.
