This is where the battle rages even if it is deliberately obscured by the Republican/Democrats.

Ernie puts it well with: "There are only two kinds of people in the world; those of us who just want to be left alone...and those bastards who won't leave us alone" (okay, I added to 'bastards' to amp it up a little)

The infamous,"They", are Ernie's 'bastards'.

I just say the battle rages between 'them', the socialists, and 'us' the anti-socialists.

If nothing else, I owe a debt of gratitude to Ernie for finally answering the question, "Who's 'they'?".
