Think cooperating with "authority" is a good idea? Think again.
Larken RoseThose of us who are good, honest, hard-working people should be glad to comply with whatever requests the police make, right? Wrong.
Those of us who are good, honest, hard-working people should be glad to comply with whatever requests the police make, right? Wrong.

In my humble opinion we should co-operate with those in authority. It is the legal system that has given the advantage to the criminal that has caused the heavy handedness of our authorities. The lawyers and courts have made it extremely difficult to prosecute and there is no punishment for that, but there should be. Our cost would go way down if we rewarded those who co-operte with lighter sentences and punished more severly those who once caught do not co-operate.
Baa baa baa bleat bahhh baaaah!
Hoby--You must be on the wrong website or smoking crack, The legal system is so completely stacked against the citizen that it is ridiculous. Just say no to jack-booted thuggery! And read Larken's book about the IRS if you want to know how bad things really are for the honest citizen in America. Eric
If you have nothing to hide....
Four years ago....Your son, a strait A student needs to borrow the car to drop off the library books he has been using to get a head start on his science fair project...going to pick up a few more books...your kid returns within the hour...he is a good kid.
A couple of weeks later you decide to wash your car...You get pulled over because one of the screws that holds your license plate on was loose when you went through the car wash, screw comes out and your license plate is now hanging and some of the numbers are obscured by the bumper...this is why you are pulled over. The cop is polite, checks things out and is going to give you a verbal warning when he notices a Zip-Lock baggie on the passenger side floor...the cop kind of suspects something...asks "You don't mind if I search your car do you. You say no.
Did you meen no! I don't want you to search my car...or no... I don't mind? (afterall you have nothing to hide)
Anyway he searches and picks up the baggie....you say oh' my wife wrapped yesterday's sandwich in that (should have cleaned out the inside of the car when you were at the car wash...slob)
The cop can now see the mustard , mayonnaise and breadcrumbs...but crap since he has your consent to search(?) he looks in the back seat and finds another baggie...this time it has what looks like white crystals in it, The cop tests it...it turns blue...and you are now handcuffed and arrested for possession of crystal meth!....They search your house too and find more "Meth" hidden in some of the books your kid checked out of the library....
Your relationship with 'good kid' is in shambles...how could that stupid little punk be so careless!!! Now after a year of being in and out of jail, the fines and lawyer fees amount to over $75,000...you lost your job...spent the kid's college money defending yourself...your wife hopes that the marriage survives........your son, the strait A student, the one that wanted to become a doctor (the little punk, that in your mind, caused all this) is now flipping burgers because you were so mad at him...you kicked him out of the house.....
But it isn't all that bad. Today....you see, a reformed junkie putting his life back together, studying at the library.... notices an old newspaper clipping about your plight....there is mention of the library books "your kid had his stash in"....He thinks back to the three bags of 'meth' he lost...and then it comes to him...he must have put them between the pages of a book...and then returned it to the library...the time frame is about right....
The reformed junkie does the honorable thing and pays you a visit...and now it all comes clear to you ..... and then you think maybe you should go apologize to your son...but after four years your not sure where he is flipping burgers....
there's always a middle path. to universally apply "thuggery" to all officers is inaccurate. and civility remains a good value, a virtue for good reasons.
so there's a way to assert your rights politely.
and there are two sides to every story. look at it from theirs. for decades we've been clamoring for more border security and fewer illegals. so they supply it and what do we do? bitch ourselves dry in the mouth about it. it's just kind of funny.
is it so impossible to see how we look like a bunch of loones sometimes?
There is NOT two sides to the story, there is only ONE! All rights are reserved to an INDIVIDUAL. I don't care about what a policemen or government wants, it does not justify the violation of my individual rights. THE ENDS DO NOT JUSTIFY THE MEANS!
Too many sheeple will just goose step along with the fascism... just like they did in Nazi Germany..
the brainwashing is so complete for most Americans, there is little hope left... after all right now they weeping and sobbing and ..(never mind) over M.Jackson while the gubermint is voting on a huge tax increase...cap & trade
sheeple oblivious- deserve the wolves that will eat them...to bad it hurts more than just the sheeple..
Good night America, and good luck!
We should exchange links. I like the way you think.
