Feds seek 33 year sentence for William Jefferson
• PoliticoFederal prosecutors are seeking the harshest prison sentence ever handed out to a member of Congress for former Rep. William Jefferson (D-La.), arguing that his “stunning betrayal of public trust” warrants a life sentence for the longtime lawmaker.
This should be the standard minimum sentence for corrupt politicians if we really want to clean up congress and put this country back on the right track. Audit the fed and audit the congress. Fear the people.
